Direct Connect is the portal through which you can automate the process for updating your QuickBooks® or Quicken® accounting software. Exported account information from Marblehead Bank will immediately appear in your QuickBooks® or Quicken® software.
Reconciliation of your accounts has never been easier. With the click of a button, you can update your QuickBooks® or Quicken® account register with your Marblehead Bank checking, savings and money market account activity or transfer money between those accounts.

What are the differences between Direct Connect and Marblehead Bank Online Banking?
In general, Direct Connect uses Quicken® or QuickBooks® to access your account information directly and download banking information into your software's check register as well as pay bills online. Marblehead Bank Online Banking uses a web browser to create a secure connection between your computer and the Marblehead Bank Online Banking site. Online Banking gives you access to your banking balances and transactions, as well as the ability to pay bills, make transfers and apply for loans online, etc.

When is the information in Direct Connect updated?
The information in Direct Connect is updated every morning with activity from the previous day. Transactions can be downloaded Tuesday–Saturday. Direct Connect will only download items posted to accounts and won't show any pending items.
What is the difference between Web Connect and Direct Connect?
Web Connect allows users to login to Marblehead Bank Online Banking and select the Download option to export data from Online Banking to your QuickBooks® or Quicken® Software. You'll be able to select a time range to download activity. You can download up to 3 months of activity. This option doesn’t allow you to pay bills via PFM.
With Direct Connect, QuickBooks® or Quicken® automatically imports transactions from Online Banking. You can pay bills and make transfers through your software instead of using Marblehead Bank’s Online Banking Bill Pay and Transfers.
How do I add additional accounts to my Direct Connect?
The first step is to create a new account within your software by entering the correct account number. All checking and money market accounts use 8-digit account numbers, and all savings accounts use 7 digits. After completing the required fields, contact a Customer Care Specialist at 781-631-5500 to request the linkage of the additional account.
